Welder/Fabricator - Perth Airport

We have an exciting role as a fabricator within our Australian business, available for an enthusiastic and motivated trade qualified in either Welding/Fabrication/Boiler Maker/Vehicle Builder, keen to join a supportive and collaborative team on a full-time basis based out of our Perth Airport workshop.   

The fabrication position involves utilizing your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to repair and maintain ground support equipment. You will reports daily to the Shift Supervisor however will ultimately be under the management of the State Service Manager. Your role involves following service guidelines and data as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard. The variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment means there is an opportunity to bring a wide collection of knowledge, and skills to the role.

  • 4 days on 4 days off (rolling day shift) - for induction and training you will be required to work the first 5-6 weeks M-F 38hrs/week

Position Requirements:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification in Welding/Fabrication/Boiler Maker/Vehicle Builder

  • Previous experience with aluminium welding to AS/NZS 1665

  • Previous experience with basic vehicle maintenance repair work (Re-packing bearings, trailer servicing)

  • Must hold a current Driver's License

  • Willingness to undertake ASIC background checks for security access

  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical check
